Please join us in making sure that our children and grandchildren can pass this vital heritage on to their children and grandchildren. Please ask Northeast Utilities and Hydro-Québec either to bury the entire project in New Hampshire or stop it altogether.
Everywhere we look we see proposals for new high-voltage, direct current transmission lines. In Maine, Vermont, and New York, new north-south high-voltage direct-current lines are being proposed completely underground or underwater; even Hydro-Québec itself is advancing an underground transmission project to connect with New York. Everywhere we look we see new, innovative underground transmission technology proposals. Everywhere except New Hampshire.
Governor Hassan, before you host the New England Governors and the Eastern Canadian Premiers here in New Hampshire this July, please make it clear that New Hampshire welcomes each of them to our magnificent state. But please also convey the message that we will insist on smart, well-planned energy projects that advance a clean energy future and we will not welcome any overhead extension cords like Northern Pass that provide little benefit to the state, at the expense of our natural and scenic resources.
I don't feel we need more energy especially from another country! What we need is more energy independance!

My family loves the WMNF and we hike on a regular basis. This would be a destructive initiative and would remove the beauty of the woods. Please don't let this happen for my children's sake and for the sake of our future generations.

I hike, climb and ski in the White Mountains all year long and enjoy the beautiful scenery every time. The towers will ruin that for me and all others who do the same as I do.

We know that the intensity of storms is increasing. Protecting access to power is essential. Burying power lines is part of the solution and is forward thinking. It's also esthetically essential. Please require the transmission line to be buried.

True wilderness is all too uncommon these days. I've spent vacation hiking in these woods. We're lines to go up I would not have the desire to spend time in NH. Please move forward responsibly and bury the lines.

Coos County imparticular is like no where else in the state and putting a transmission line through there were not only ruin that pristiness, but piss a lot of people off. All because other energy markets are calling for it, go ruin their state, not ours!
