Please join us in making sure that our children and grandchildren can pass this vital heritage on to their children and grandchildren. Everywhere we look we see proposals for new high-voltage, direct current transmission lines. In Maine, Vermont, and New York, new north-south high-voltage direct-current lines are being proposed completely underground or underwater; even Hydro-Québec itself is advancing an underground transmission project to connect with New York. Everywhere we look we see new, innovative underground transmission technology proposals. Everywhere except New Hampshire.
Governor Hassan, before you host the New England Governors and the Eastern Canadian Premiers here in New Hampshire this July, please make it clear that New Hampshire welcomes each of them to our magnificent state. But please also convey the message that we will insist on smart, well-planned energy projects that advance a clean energy future and we will not welcome any overhead extension cords like Northern Pass that provide little benefit to the state, at the expense of our natural and scenic resources.
I enjoy the natural beauty of NH mountains and forests. The ugly sight of electric wires and towers would ruin the natural beauty of NH.

The towers will be considerably higher than the trees. It will ruin the Live Free Or Die atmosphere of New Hampshire and benefit no one in the state.

Hydro-Quebec can and should change their business model to a buried cable to reflect the needs of the communities they pass through. If the buried Cable ROI is not what they can live with, go elsewhere.

I don't want this beautiful state despoiled. Who wants NH to look like NJ? Either bury the pass or tell the company to go elsewhere. To approve this would be like selling your soul for a mess of porridge.

NH is to pretty to be ruined by ugly high voltage towers and should be placed underground. Also, it's safer and will reduce power outages during disasterous storms.

I not only live in New Hampshire I am a proud business owner that counts on the beauty of my state to enhance business for me and others. New Hampshire as always been known for its breathtaking scenery and high tension towers are not part of that scenery.

I have hiked year round in the beautiful white Mtns since the early 8o's. I have always been in awe of the spectacular views from the many, many, summits. I would not want to see this view marred.

Not only will the value of peoples property suffer, but the area as a whole will. Many depend on tourism to make a living. We don't need the ugly power line to be the welcome to the lakes and mountains sign.

To keep the pristine landscape of the Lamontagne Wildlife Management Area, Deerfield, NH. My deceased Uncle Emery Lamontagne's family donated the land in his memory and it would be highly disrespectful to put a permanent 'scar' on the land he so loved.

I've traveled for five years from Pittsburgh to New Hampshire to spend my vacations hiking in the White Mountains. Please keep them as close to wilderness as possible without above-ground power lines which will destroy the natural beauty, irreversably.
